Muy muy naranja.

Today I did a little shopping, seeing as I finally have some time free from essaying. I also went to lunch with my mum, as my birthday is tomorrow. I find myself feeling a bit apprehensive about turning nineteen... I'm not sure why, I just feel like eighteen has been my favourite age yet and I'm expecting it to go downhill from here. Though the likelihood is I'm just being silly :) Fashion-wise, I'm currently going through an 'all-things-orange' phase, partly because I find myself seeing it everywhere and partly because it's not a colour that I've ever had any great tendency to wear. It's all about trying something new! So I bought these earrings the other day. It was mostly the colour that attracted me to them, but I love the style and the simplicity of them. I
tend to buy either overly simple studs or more extravagant earrings, so I'm pleased with these inbetweeners. I admit I'm having trouble shaking off my necessity for matching articles, so today I bought orange nail polish to feed my obsession. This picture isn't a totally accurate portrayal of the colour, but its Rimmel LYCRA Pro (440-Orange Bliss) for anyone who is interested. I'm loving it, it makes me feel so springlike :)
While I'm on the subject of fashion, I just have to post a picture of the shoes I bought the other day. I just adore them so much:

I feel like the picture doesn't do them justice at all, but there you have it. I came across them while browsing in New Look the other day. I was totally smitten with them; everything from the colour to the detailing, so I just had to have them. I imagine they aren't everyone's cup of tea but I'm loving flat sandals at the moment and lucky for me it seems like they're everywhere. Hopefully the weather stays nice enough so that I can wear them!
To conclude this long, ramblesome post I want to show you my new plant :D I noticed that ASDA was selling Peace Lillies today and they were relatively inexpensive so I thought I would buy one. I think my bedroom could do with a plant to cheer it up a little, and this one is pretty and simplistic. I hear they are easy to care for which is a super plus considering my track record with keeping plants alive. I'm naming her Janine:

So serene. Just for the sake of posting something a little bit different... -x-
